We have a wide range of programming to fit the interests and ages of the group. We offer programming for children as young as 3 and as old and 100. As part of our mission to keep outdoor education accessible, we can offer programming close to you. For most of our programs, we can bring a specially tailored version to your local park (or even your backyard!).
Browse our programming options below. For more information and to book, please email us at info@thecuriousraccoonco.ca.

Think of this program as a combination of escape room, scavenger hunt, and a traditional compass orienteering course. Participants are shown how to use a compass and then sent off to find and solve a series of puzzles.

Want to go on a camping trip, but have no idea where to start? Built to fit your interests and needs, this program will go over how to set up tents, book sites, pack food, pack clothing, and other skills helpful for people new to camping. This program can be tailored to families with children wanting as well as for adults.

Interested in going hiking in areas a little more remote than your local park? This program takes participants on a hike and incorporates fun challenges to show you how to pack for a day hike, how to pick appropriate clothing, footwear, and reviews best safety practices.

Suitable for all ages, this program gives participants a chance to learn how to set up basic shelters with natural materials, tarps and ropes. In some locations, fire starting using matches as well as flint and steel can also be incorporated. In some settings, cooking over a fire can also be included in this program.

This one is for the nerdy who want to add to their real life nature proficiency bonus. Get a group of friends together to try our DnD inspired One-Shot program. Party members will be given a series of outdoor survival challenges to overcome. Obviously, oversized dice are involved.

Tailored to suit your groups interests and often added onto another program, we also offer a wide variety of ways to be creative and to make something beautiful. This includes:
- basic watercolour painting tutorials
- sewing simple and useful outdoor items
- beading and knot tying crafts
- terrariums and up-cycled hanging planters
